Missed the last two splits poured water, gatorade and ice to cool the core temperature but it wasn't enough. I just said the heck with it and decided to cruise this marathon in. IT WAS HOT HOT HOT! DID I SAY THAT IT WAS HOT!
My Race Gear for the Boston Marathon
The lines to the yellow buses begins here!
Dennis and I waiting in the Village
Just went to the restroom about the 4th time lol
It was the hottest marathon with no shade and water hot as hell! I stopped 3 times! I had never walked in my previous 13 marathons and today was one of those days that no matter how good you want to do you have to adjust or be sent to the hospital .. I chose to adjust! Boy it sucked lol
Ran my worst marathon ever under brutal conditions the best thing is that I'm ALIVE and get to live another day (a lot of people dropped out or deferred to next years race) REDEMPTION 2013! Thanks for the support!
Congratulations on Finishing the 116th Boston
Marathon!
The Boston Athletic Association, founders and organizers of the Boston Marathon, have released their full elite fields for Monday’s race. Please note that the list is still subject to change, most likely scratches.
